Our CEO, Mr. Ngenda Nyambe, was honoured to host the Acting Postmaster General of ZAMPOST, Mrs. Lydia Simakando Lubobya, accompanied by Mr. Chris Nyirongo, ZAMPOST Head of Business Development and Commercial, at our Head Office in Lusaka. The courtesy call, held on 4th June 2025, provided a valuable platform to explore potential areas of collaboration between ZICB and ZAMPOST. Discussions centred around strengthening partnerships to enhance financial inclusion and innovative solutions for underserved communities across the country. As a 100% citizen-owned institution, ZICB remains committed to collaborating with fellow state-owned enterprises, such as ZAMPOST, to drive inclusive growth and build a more connected Zambia.

ZICB is proud to have been recognized by the Z’ Kidpreneur Academy for our contribution to financial literacy for children. This prestigious recognition was presented to our CEO, Mr. Ngenda Nyambe, by Z’ Kidpreneur CEO and Founder, Ms. Chimfwembe Mulenga, during a courtesy visit to our Head Office in Lusaka yesterday. The award follows the Z’ Kidpreneur Awards heldon 26th May 2025 at Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka, where ZICB was honoured for its role in promoting financial literacy among children aged 4 to 17 years, a mission we are deeply passionate about. This recognition reflects the impact of a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ZICB and Z’ Kidpreneur Academy, through which we jointly delivered financial education programs to hundreds of children, empowering them with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed financial decisions from an early age. At ZICB, we believe that financial literacy is a lifelong journey that should start early. We remain committed to supporting innovative initiatives that nurture responsible, financially empowered future leaders.

ZICB OPENS NEW BRANCH IN SOLWEZI  On 7th March 2025, the Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank (ZICB) celebrated a major milestone by opening its 22nd branch in Solwezi, a vibrant and growing economic hub in the North-Western Province. This landmark event reaffirmed the Bank’s unwavering commitment to deepening financial inclusion and supporting Zambia’s development in the mining sector, which is the most prominent economic activity in this region. What truly sets ZICB apart in Zambia’s banking landscape is its unique distinction as the only 100% Zambian-owned bank. All its shareholders are local, ensuring that the institution’s profits, strategies, and long-term vision are aligned with the aspirations and interests of the Zambian people. The major shareholders include the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA), Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), and the Worker’s Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB). More importantly, it demonstrated ZICB’s capability and readiness to shoulder national responsibilities while continuing to deliver value to its clients. Recognized for Service Excellence In recognition of its outstanding service standards, ZICB has received numerous recognitions. Recently, the local bank was awarded the Best Service of the Year in the Banking Sector accolade by the Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS). ZICB proudly participated in the 2025 Bankers Sports Day held on Saturday, 10th May at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) in Lusaka. The event was officially flagged off by the Minister of Tourism, Hon. Rodney Sikumba MP, and brought together institutions from across the financial sector for a friendly but spirited competition day. Our performance highlights: • 1st Place – Women’s 200m • 2nd Place – Men’s Executive 100m • 3rd Place – Women’s Executive 100m • 4th Place – Chess • Basketball Finalists The event was more than just a contest; it celebrated health, teamwork, and collaboration within the banking industry. Kudos to Team ZICB for flying our flag high!

ZICB was honoured to be part of the Zambia Army Commissioning Parade held at Kohima Barracks in Kabwe on Friday, 11th April 2025, a proud moment marking the commissioning of new officers into service. The event, which was graced by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, is a symbol of pride, and ZICB was privileged to sponsor the top three awards presented to the most outstanding and high-performing officers of the training programme. Congratulations to the newly commissioned officers. Your resilience, discipline, and dedication are a true reflection of Zambia’s future leadership.

On 5th April 2024, Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank (ZICB) proudly attended the official Kuomboka Traditional Ceremony in Mongu District, Western Province. The event, graced by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia, brought together thousands of people to witness the majestic journey of His Majesty Litunga Lubosi Imwiko II from Lealui Palace to Limulunga Palace in Western Province, Zambia. The Kuomboka Ceremony is a celebration of resilience, tradition, and unity, values that align closely with ZICB’s mission of empowering communities and building a more inclusive financial future for all Zambians. We are honoured to have been part of this rich cultural experience and remain committed to supporting initiatives that preserve and celebrate Zambia’s diverse heritage.

The visit comes in light of the upcoming Kuomboka Traditional Ceremony, one of Zambia’s most iconic cultural events that symbolises resilience, leadership, and the unity of the Lozi Kingdom. Our team led by the Soweto branch Manager Carol Chishima, participated in the Financial Literacy Kick-Off event at Mazabuka Secondary School on Monday 17th March 2025. The team set up a sales desk to engage directly with pupils and shared valuable insights on saving and investing early, a key step towards building a secure financial future. It was inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and curiosity of these young minds as they embraced practical financial habits. A heartfelt thank you to Mazabuka Secondary School and the Financial Literacy Secretariat, for hosting us and our team for their unwavering commitment to community empowerment.
